As an Elections Official, the City Clerk administers Federal, State, and Local procedures through which local government representatives are elected. The Clerk assists candidates in meeting their legal responsibilities before, during, and after an election. From Election pre-planning to certification of election results and filing of final campaign disclosure documents, the City Clerk manages the process which forms the foundation of our democratic system of government.

CANDIDATE NOMINATION FILING PERIOD:

City of Riverbank registered voters interested in running for office may obtain nomination papers for candidacy at the City Clerk's office from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Monday, July 12 through Friday, August 6

(closed weekends & holidays)

 

Extention of Nomination period

If an incumbent does not file nomination papers by August 6, registered voters will have until Wednesday, August 11,         5:00 p.m. to file nomination papers

Proposal to amend city code to INCREASE THE TRANSIENT OCCUPANCY TAX (TOT) RATE FROM 4% TO 9%

 

 

Shall an ordinance amending Section 34.47 of the Code of the City of Riverbank, providing that “for the privilege of occupancy in any hotel, each transient is subject and shall pay a tax in the amount of 9% of the rent charged by the operator”, be adopted?  If the Measure passes, the transient occupancy tax rate as set forth in section 34.47 of the Riverbank City Code would be increased from 4% to 9%.
