The Administrative Services Department oversees the City Clerk’s Office, Personnel Office, Risk Management, Human Services and Information Technology (IT) Departments and provides technical and administrative assistance to the City Manager and City Council. In addition, the Department is responsible for public relations regarding City events and activities. 

City Clerk’s Office:

  • Preparation of City Council agendas, minutes, resolutions, ordinances, and legal publications.
  • Update and maintain the Riverbank Municipal Code (for Council approved ordinances not yet codified Click here).
  • Custodian of City records.
  • Election Official.

Personnel:

  • Recruit and hire employees for all departments.
  • Administration of health, dental, vision and employee benefits.
  • Administration of job classification and compensation.
  • Training and motivating employees.

Risk Management:

  • Liability and claims processing.
  • City Safety Program.
  • Ensures CalOSHA Compliance.

Human Services:

  • Provides assistance in identifying necessary resources and referrals  to local social services agencies and programs.
  • Meets with citizens and various groups to inform them of local programs, community events, and social activities.
  • Assists in planning, development, and delivery of special events for youth, families, seniors, volunteers and community groups.
