Public Works Sewer Division

Public Works
Public Works Sewer Division

JD Hightower
Director

Sewer Division

The Sewer Division maintains and repairs the City’s sewer collection system including sewer mains and laterals.  This division operates, maintains, and repairs the sewer lift stations and provides safe sanitary services.

Sewer Problems

If you believe you have a sewer problem that may involve City sewer lines, call the City Public Works Department first.  The City will clear the sewer lines from your property line to the main line in the road.  If the clog is within your property, we will let you know so you can contact a plumber.

You can help avoid clogged drains and overflowing toilets with just a few simple precautions.  Do not put paper, cigarette butts, disposable diapers*, feminine hygiene products, cooking grease, or other objects down the drain or in the toilet.  These items clog pipes which cause drains and toilets to overflow.

*Attention!  Please Do Not Flush Diapers!

*¡Atención! ¡Por favor no tire los pañales de su bebe en el baño!

For sewer problems, call Public Works at 869-7128 Monday through Friday, or after-hours dispatch at 1-800-672-9068.
