New to Riverbank?

 

Welcome to the City of Riverbank!  It is our desire to help your move to our community go as smoothly as possible.  Included here is information that we hope you find useful.

 

Utilities

 

Electric Service – is provided by either Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) or Modesto Irrigation District (MID).  To contact these companies, please call:

 

PG&E – 1-800-743-5000 and follow the prompts.

 

MID – 1-209-526-7337 or toll free 1-888-335-1643.

 

 

Gas Service – is provided by Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E)

Water/Sewer/Garbage – if you live within the City limits of Riverbank, you will receive one invoice for water, sewer, and garbage services every two-months.  Water and sewer are supplied by the City; the garbage service is provided by Gilton Solid Waste Management, Inc., but the City bills for the service.  To start these services you must open an account with the City of Riverbank in person at the Finance Department located at –

Telephone Service – There are a variety of telephone services, which you may receive through the Internet.  Local service is provided by AT&T –

Helpful Hint – Call the utility companies before you move so there will be no delay in having your utilities turned on at your new address. 

 

 

Transportation

 

Riverbank-Oakdale Transit Authority (ROTA) – The ROTA Trolley is a fixed-route service that runs between Riverbank and Oakdale making stops at designated places several times a day.  The Trolley runs a continuous loop passing its starting point every 60-minutes.  ROTA Dial-A-Ride service is primarily for disabled persons and those that do not live within the Trolley service area.  ROTA runs Monday thru Saturday; there is no Sunday service.

Stanislaus Regional Transit (StaRT) – StaRT is the County bus service, it has fixed-routes between Riverbank and Oakdale to the north; Turlock, Keyes, and Patterson to the south; Empire, Hughson, and Waterford to the east; and Grayson and Crows Landing to the west.  StaRT runs Monday thru Saturday; there is no Sunday service.
