Did you know?
Charter TV Channel 2 is now
Action 2 Riverbank!
If you are a cable subscriber,
you have probably spent an evening – or two – channel surfing
with the remote. You may have noticed that besides the big news
TV stations like CNN and C-SPAN, there are local government
stations also. Modesto has Access Modesto on Charter Cable
channel 19 and Riverbank can be found on Charter Cable channel
2. The City of Riverbank has contracted with a local company –
Final Cut Media, Inc. – to help us move our government station
in to the 21st Century.
We have started with a new
name, Action 2 Riverbank, and a new logo to match –

In the upcoming weeks, you
will see a new format with new, colorful slides as part of the
presentation. Action 2 will compliment our Riverbank website
and it will be another way to get information out to those who
may not have computer access. There will soon be an Action 2
website, which will provide you with a guide to what is playing
on Action 2.
On Action 2, you will find
information and phone numbers for City Departments, dates and
contact information for upcoming events, and other newsworthy
items about Riverbank. On the second and fourth Mondays of each
month, you can watch a live telecast of the Riverbank City
Council; regular meetings begin at 7:00 p.m. Planning
Commission meetings will be broadcast live on the third Tuesday
of each month. The meetings will be replayed at least twice
after their initial viewing.
During the next few months,
Final Cut Media will be videotaping City personnel and Riverbank
events, which will be broadcast later over the Action 2
channel.
What’s coming up next?
Let’s talk
GREEN. What are you doing
to conserve energy at home or at work? What suggestions do you
have for your Riverbank neighbors in regards to recycling, and
water or energy conservation? What can we do to help save
Mother Earth? Have you been to the annual Sam Jackson Riverbank
Spring Clean or Beyond Earth Day? Send me your conservation
ideas and I will share them with our neighbors.
Is there any thing about Riverbank that you would like to
know more of, and it hasn’t been covered yet? Let me know!
Send an email to me at
