There are several educational institutes in our community from private to public schools and higher education institutes in our surrounding communities.

The Riverbank Unified School District has an enrollment of 3,159 with five schools (three elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school). Two of the three elementary schools are California Distinguished Schools and one is in its fifth year of a SB 1274 grant for restructuring. Class size reduction has been implemented at the three elementary schools within this District.  Riverbank children also attend schools in the Sylvan Union School District. Private schools include Cornerstone Christian School and Riverbank Christian Academy.

For those interested in attending colleges or universities, Modesto Junior College (MJC) is approximately 10 miles (18 minutes) from Riverbank. MJC provides instructional programs leading to transfers to four-year colleges, that leads to various associate degrees and vocational programs that lead to a certification in a specific trade.

Just 19 miles from the City of Riverbank we have the California State University, Stanislaus (CSUS). Bachelor degree programs offered at CSUS include Business, Humanities, Art, Science, and Education as well as Master's degrees in Business Administration, Communication Studies, Education, English, History, Interdisciplinary Studies, Psychology and Public Administration.
