The purpose of the Building Division is changing from a
strictly regulatory function to a purpose of creating
partnerships with the development community, business community
and citizens to accomplish mutually beneficial goals. These
include the safe, successful and timely completion of projects.
The approach that is being pursued is a change from an
enforcement orientation to a customer service driven, problem
solving, facilitative orientation for the plan review,
permitting and inspection functions. Before starting on a
construction activity, we will give you advice on how “You Can
Build It”.
