Riverbank Golden Agers

Adult Exercise Class

  • When: Mondays & Wednesdays
  • Time: 10:00am-11:00am
  • Where: Riverbank Community Center, 3600 Santa Fe St. *On Wed. the class is held at Quail Meadows  Mobile Home Park, 5901 Newbrook Drive
  • Age: 18 and older
  • Fee: $2.00 per day

Join us for a low resistance exercise class. Learn exercise that can be used in your daily lives to help you maintain a happier and healthier lifestyle.

Adult Tennis Pyramid League

  • Session I: April 1 - May 23, 2008

  • Session II: June 9 - August 1, 2008

  • Cost: $10.00

This "Pyramid League" is just for you! If you play tennis and want to challenge other players in the area, join us for this league. Register at the recreation office. We will need a minimum of 8 players for this to take place. All players will be randomly drawn and placed on the pyramid, you may challenge up 1 or 2 places and then report the winner. You may play any time of the day or evening. For more information call 869-7124.

Adult Tennis Tournament

  • When: Saturday April 5, 2008

  • Where: Zerillo Park Tennis Courts, located on Briarcliff Dr. in Rivercove

  • Time: 9:00am

  • Ages: 18+

  • Cost: $10.00

  • Singles only

Adult tennis players are invited to play. Beginners to advanced players are welcome! Seeding will be done Wednesday April 2, 2008 at 4:00pm.

Yosemite Park Valley Floor Tour

  • When: May 24, 2008

  • Time: Leave the Riverbank Community Center at 9am and return at 7pm.

  • Cost: $66.00

Experience the majestic beauty of the Yosemite National Park. You will enjoy an open car Valley Tram Tour through the park. The tram tour includes Inspiration Point, El Capitan, Half Dome and the beautiful Yosemite Falls. You will have lunch on your own. Register at the recreation office. The deadline is May 2nd at 5:00pm. Space is limited.

Let's Play WII (We)

  • When: Mondays beginning July 7, 2008

  • Time: 10:30am-11:30am

  • Where: 3600 Santa Fe

Come and play the hottest game in the nation! Go bowling, play tennis or play golf with your friends. Call the recreation office for more information. This is a great activity for all ages.

Black Oak  Casino Trip

  • When: Thursday April 10, 2008

  • Time:10:00am - 5:00pm.

  • Cost: $20 per person, includes a bonus package

  • Ages: Must be 21 or older

Leave from the Riverbank Community Center. Join us for a day at the foothills at Black Oak Casino. Enjoy lunch at the King Pin restaurant or one of the other fine restaurants. Deadline to register is April 1st.

Thunder Valley Casino

  • When: Thursday August 21, 2008

  • Time: 9:00am - 5:00pm.

  • Cost: $26 per person

  • Ages: Must be 21 or older

Leave from the Riverbank Community Center. Enjoy trying your luck at Thunder Valley. Enjoy having a buffet lunch or eating at one of the restaurants!

Volunteer Program 

The City of Riverbank Recreation Department is looking for youth and adults who are interested in volunteering for various activities throughout the year. Activities include the Annual Turkey Trot, Riverbank Rabbit Run, Pajama-Rama on New Year's Eve, the Halloween Haunted Hay Ride, Riverbank Senior Striders, the Riverbank Skate Park Task Force, the Youth/Teen Committee, Friends of Jacob Myers Park and many more! For an application, come by the Recreation Office.

The City of Riverbank is continually seeking new and creative classes for the residents (children and adults) of Riverbank. If you have a special hobby or talent that you would like to share with the community, please call the Recreation Department discuss possible opportunities!
